Following extensive consultations with UNFPA, the following seven counties have been selected for participation in the UNFPA/EU-supported programs. This selection prioritizes regions with high FGM prevalence where communities have demonstrated receptiveness to the three-tiered eradication strategy: Frontline Academies, Born Perfect Caravans, and Local Media Campaigns.
Regrettably, due to current funding limitations, counties with urgent support needs, such as Kuria and Tana River, have not yet been included. #FrontlineEndingFGM remains committed to advocating for donor support to expand coverage to all 22 FGM-prevalent counties in Kenya.
